Another reason I hate FB

For the love of God, why do people put ultrasound pictures as their Facebook profile pics?

While I adore looking at the ones I get, I will be the first person to say they are creepy and no one else but the expectant parents and grandparents really give a crap. They are blurry and don't look anything like what the final baby will actually look at. And they make a lot of people feel like crap. Why would you do that? Why??????

  2. Agreed! The pictures along with a week by week story of their pregnancy annoys the crap out of me, especially when its only like the 8 week u/s. It just makes me want to scream at the fact that they are just so confident that everything is going to work out.

    1. Oh yeah, those are bad too, especially so early! Have you had any FB friends put up pictures of pee sticks! I mean, I am so jealous they are so sure things will work out to post the day they get 2 pink lines!

  3. I so agree with you!! especially the 4-D ultrasounds - those just creep me out and it doesn't matter where I am in my cycle or journey!

  6. I really don't understand it either. I also don't understand using a picture of your child though. I do use a photo of me and my son, but I would never use one of just him. It just doesn't make sense to me.

    1. Yeah, I've heard there's a lot of controversy about this - something about how your identity isn't really YOU if all you post are your kids on there. I don't know how I would feel in that situation. I think I'd do what you do though.

  7. Eh, I don't mind them so much but I totally understand where you're coming from. I feel like it's kind of like a class on what to expect when you're expecting...although I'm not (yet) expecting. But I have to admit, I don't have a ton of friends who are constantly posting stuff like that on FB. Maybe if it was more frequent, I would hate it more.
