- my second open heart surgery. Goes very well, am considered "repaired."

- follow up cardiac catheterization. Lots of scar tissue - get three stents.
- October
- another follow up cardiac catheterization. Green light to go get pregnant!
- February
- HSG shows right tube might be partially blocked.
- April
- because of my long cycles (ever since my first m/c) OB puts me on Clomid. BFP! But it's a chemical.
- May
- another Clomid cycle - BFN.
- June
- another Clomid cycle - BFN.
- July
- switch to an RE. Undergo a transfallopian catheterization to make sure my tubes are open. They are.
- August
- IUI #1 - BFN.
- September
- IUI #2 - BFN.
- October
- IUI #3 - BFN.
- November
- Scheduled laparascopy to check if there is endo. Cancelled week before because hospital it was scheduled to be at couldn't do cardiac anesthesia.
- December
- Rescheduled laparascopy at a different hospital. 2 minutes (literally) before laparascopy, it is cancelled because they were not prepared for cardiac anesthesia.
- January
- IVF cycle #1 - 12 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized.
Transfer 2 on day 3 - BFP, but chemical pregnancy.
- February - L and I start paperwork with an adoption agency.
- March
- IVF cycle #2 - E2 plunges from 1255 to 349 two days before trigger.
18 eggs retrieved, only 4 mature initially, but 8 others matured overnight, 12 fertilize.
Transfer 2 on day 5, freeze 4 - BFP! - Put adoption paperwork on hold.
- May
- At 7 week ultrasound, only 1 hb is detected. Baby B is gone.
- 8 week ultrasound - all look good.
- 9 week ultrasound - hb of 161 - looking good!
- June
- NT Scan (11w2d) Baby A has no hb.
- D&C - all testing shows baby was chromosomally normal.
- August
- Start up adoption process again.
- September
- FET #1 - Transfer 2 snowbabies. BFN.
- Discuss infertility with inlaws, who offer to help us out with surrogacy if we want to go that route.
- October
- Homestudy ready!
- November
- IVF cycle #3 -antagonist protocol, E2 gets to 2109.
17 eggs retrieved, 11 fertilize, only 3 make it to day 5.
Transfer 2, 1 on ice, BFN.
- December
- Reach out to surrogacy agency in MA, get two profiles to look at.
- First adoption profiling opportunity - indirect placement. We don't get picked.
- January
- Phone call with potential gestational carrier.
- Second adoption profiling opportunity - direct placement. We don't get picked.
- February
- We meet with the potential gestational carrier and her family. We get along so well, we decide to work with each other.
- March
- Third adoption profiling opportunity - direct placement. We don't get picked.
- We sign the gestational carrier agreement and start working on pre-testing for a carrier cycle!
- April
- Fourth adoption profiling opportunity - direct placement. We don't get picked.
- Pre-testing starts for the carrier cycle.
- May
- Gestational cycle (IVF #4) begins.
- June
- 1 day before trigger, E2 plunges from 1834 to 1479.
8 eggs retrieved, 6 are mature, 3 fertilize.
Transfer all 3 embryos on day 3. BFP! - July
- First ultrasound - 3 hbs! (115bpm, 118bpm, 122bpm)
- Second ultrasound - still 3 hbs! (173bpm, 182 bpm, 182, bpm)
- Put adoption profilings on hold, as we are not allowed to do both.
- Carrier tells me she will not carry 3 to term, we must reduce 1 of them.
- August
- Third ultrasound - still 3 hbs. MFM agrees with carrier to reduce.
- Emergency fourth ultrasound due to bleeding after s/r. Still two heartbeats.
- Fifth ultrasound (scheduled, not emergency). Two good heartbeats, 171 and 167bpm.
- Sixth ultrasound, still two good heartbeats in the 160s.
- September
- Our 5th wedding anniversary, and we hit the second trimester!
- Seventh ultrasound - GENDER REVEAL - two girls!! (no heartbeats given).
- Gender Reveal party for friends.
- Eight ultrasound - all looks well
- October
- Parentage petition process starts
- I spread the news via FB (one thing I always swore I would not do)
- Ninth ultrasound - anatomy scan and fetal echos, everything is still perfect.
- Babymoon to Colorado!
- 10th ultrasound - everything good, babies now breech.
- November
- 11th ultrasound - Gabby diagnosed with Pemphigoid Gestationis (1 out of 100K pregnant women get this. Nice. Otherwise looks good.
- 12th ultrasound - Still looking good! Baby A(isha) now turned the right way.
